About

Raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan by a single parent, I learned to feed myself and others at an early age. My grandmother, an early adaptor of “health foods” taught and inspired me to learn more about cooking with fresh ingredients and how to keep what she called a “healthy pantry”. At the invitation of a friend and a strong pull towards the ocean, I moved to Nantucket Island in 1988, working at a variety of jobs. My journey in the world of food and service began in 1998 when I was hired by a local caterer, spending the next ten years learning the business from the ground up. In the years since then, I have worked in many areas of the service industry, managing a large island family estate for eight years and ultimately branching out into private chef work for multiple clients.


Cooking

I love local, fresh and organic foods, and the gathering and feeding of people. My strengths are organization, efficiency, and working with a client's specific needs. I take great pride in my relationships and in maintaining a serious and fun work environment, and am able to adapt to the energy of your household, whether it be loud and boistrous or quiet and meditative.
